About this Talk
I've always been what others would call sensitive, but after experiencing some traumatic life events, I got really 'busy.' No time to sit for long. Always on the go. I had things to do, places to be, other things to attend to 'first.'
I came to realise that so many of my patients and friends could also have opportunities to be still and stop, but they didn't. Instead they'd leap up, with their bodies or minds and 'do' instead. Go, move, move away. But move away from what? From ourselves, our inner thoughts, and perhaps some uncomfortable feelings.
One day I decided to stop. To stop running, running from myself. To pause, to feel and to begin to come home to myself. I started listening and feeling a little every day until I reached a place underneath all of that trauma, that stress, that busy-ness... a part that knew, that remembered - I am OK, I am loved, and I am Home. Already.
I'd love to share this with you, too. A path home. For ... and to ... you, too.
